Objectives
The goal of the IT audit is to: 1) assess and evaluate the state of IT infrastructure, 2) examine IT staff, and 3) produce a report with suggestions about possible ways of improving and developing the current IT infrastructure. MethodA qualitative method of research is applied during the IT audit. The auditor visits the physical location of the organization and collects data. Also, data is collected through an online assessment.
The data is collected in several ways through: 1) observations, 2) audio recording of personal interviews, 3) taking notes, 4) taking pictures, and 5) copying of digital files with public access privileges.
The data is then processed and transformed into a text format. Analysis of the data is conducted in accordance with common requirements for IT. The IT audit report is finalized and generated based on the material gathered during the auditing process.
