Online communities will spur growth among non-profit, educational and religious organizations who can strategize and interact on a global scale with organizations who share common interests and goals. ServanTek is currently involved in researching and implementing Social Networking and Participatory Networks in which people collaborate and interact in online communities. This model can be carried over into many non-profit operations in which collaboration and the sharing of experiences can greatly improve an organization's efficiency and effectiveness. For example, imagine the impact of organizations in third-world countries benefiting from the mentoring of retired business executives. Organizations targeting similar fields of work will have the ability to work as a team, on a global scale, sharing ideas and experiences (successes and failures) in order to learn from one another. As non-profit organizations, as a whole, embrace this technology, they will be able to capitalize on a global network of experienced people to further their efforts in helping others.
